The following link contains a great sample of a next generation image viewer called TiltViewer. It is based on Flash technology and can be used for displaying images from Flickr on a website. The image viewer is produced by AirtightInteractive and can be download from http://www.airtightinteractive.com/projects/tiltviewer/

Good idea and nice implementation, but the navigation needs some work (try moving to the picture up or down without zooming out).
